Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be streamed live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the pair came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming bout.
Ex twice world title holder Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Fighter's Attitude
"I will break his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Civil Exchange
Despite those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually recognized for his dramatics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul rather attacked ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British rival Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Paul's Background
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
However, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, consistently making huge earnings.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would derail the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.
Size Difference
As Joshua and Paul met for the customary confrontation, with their size difference evident, it drove home just how surprising this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the match is actually proceeding.
